Hogga - furniture passionates
It would be a significant abuse to claim that Hogga is a company with a century-old tradition, a large staff and headquarters in a magnificent, modern factory. Unfortunately, we are not (yet!) at that stage.
Nevertheless, we cannot be denied commitment, love of form, good craftsmanship and attention to the smallest details. While there are many such companies, everyone starts at some point….
Well, how was it in the beginning?
The inspiration for the brand and products was our love of creating and building, especially simple, functional, timeless and just plain cool objects. Combining with different forms, experimenting with wood (sometimes even with electricity) has been our passion from an early age. For many years we tried to take our garage experiments to a larger scale, but it was only after a combination of coincidental events that this project was born, and with it the wonderful tables, hockers, consoles and many more great furniture!
A few years ago, during a crisis in office work, I realized that I wanted to be part of something more exciting, creative and engaging. I wanted to hear feedback from the customer like “This shelf is really great!“, ” This desk fits our interior perfectly“,“We’re thrilled!” or just “But you have nice furniture! 😊”.
Each successive job I delivered to clients brought me more and more joy and satisfaction, and when those above phrases were uttered more and more often, I knew we were moving in the right direction.
As it happens in these types of stories and the “AmericanDream”, we also needed our “garage” – and we got it! Maybe not on the scale of Steve Jobs, but always. Our entire concept was born, of course, in the garage during painstaking trials and tests. And that’s a good thing, because it could be a great start to a remarkable story for our company.
Geometry and details.
How do we create our products? Most of our concepts are based on a metal frame, wooden top and metal accessories. Although HoggaDesign comes neither from a design studio nor from an art college, the basis of our designs is always form and geometry, which allows us to maintain a universal character and makes our products fit perfectly in interiors of different types, giving them a unique charm.
Simplicity and moderation – while maintaining high quality materials and a certain strength.
Detail – “the devil is in the details”, so we must not forget about them. We choose the right oil for wood, the right varnish, take care of the quality of welds, use clear markings and precisely sand the wooden parts. As a result, we can in good conscience provide a 5-year warranty on all our products. In the end, each of them is made according to the doctrine of“as for themselves.”
A sustainable approach to materials.
We do not use plastic in our production and pay special attention to materials, oil and varnish compositions and their environmental impact. We know where the wood comes from, and we don’t use imitations. We are consciously reducing our negative impact on the environment – because if not now, when?
It all started with Kasia’s passion for furniture and objects with soul. Since we’ve known each other, we’ve always thought that old things have their own charm, are more interesting and give more joy. However, it takes quite a few professionals to properly restore such furniture. Fortunately, we have such a specialist.
Over the years we have experimented with replacing the entire arrangement of the house, tested paints, varnishes, waxes, and our passion has turned into a professional approach to furniture restoration. Apprenticeships with craftsmen, hours spent studying books, as well as workshops and courses have provided us with the knowledge to restore soulful furniture to its former glory. The HoggaDesign project has finally given us the opportunity to share our passion with our clients.

Of course, we wouldn’t have confidence in the superior quality of our products if it weren’t for robust testing. In addition to customer feedback, our products are rigorously tested as soon as they leave production. 😊
